A night when you’re the star!
Bal de Nuit 2010
Oklahoma City Ballet
January 22, 2010
OKLAHOMA CITY—November 19, 2009. The Bal de Nuit 2010 fundraiser for the Oklahoma City Ballet is scheduled for Friday, January 22nd at The Grand Ballroom of the Skirvin Hilton Hotel.
The theme for the 2010 gala is “A Night when you’re the Star”. Expect a live performance from the professional dancers of Oklahoma City Ballet. Bal de Nuit or “dance of the night” is the Oklahoma City Ballet’s major fund raiser for the season.
“The Bal de Nuit will definitely turn heads this season, we want to create an atmosphere that is festive, creative, modern and edgy,” said Dr. Diana Hampton, OKC Ballet board president.
Patrons are encouraged to arrive in camera-ready attire and watch out for paparazzo. Dancers will be mingling with the guests all night. Rather than a traditional served dinner, an assortment of appetizers and entrées will be available at different stations throughout The Grand Ballroom so party goers can create their own dinner of choice.
“Expect a live performance of modern dance from the professional dancers with Oklahoma City Ballet and kinetic feeling throughout the evening to keep the party going. “The dancing, drinks, décor, and food will be out of this world,” noted Robert Mills, OKC Ballet artistic director.
The patron party begins at 6 pm a preview to silent and live auction items. Cocktails and dinner start at 7 pm. The open bar will continue plus coffee drinks will be served following the auction. The entertainment following dinner is the popular duo “Born in November”. “Last year the guests really enjoyed dancing with the professional dancers. I think everyone learned a few new moves,” added Robert.
