barre – (French) n A rail fixed to a wall at hip height used by ballet dancers as a support in certain exercises
bar – (English) n(also called a pub, tavern, beer garden, or saloon) is a room or establishment that serves alcoholic drinks for consumption on the premises.
The Barre, is an opportunity for patrons of the arts in their 20s and 30s to enjoy exclusive benefits and an intimate view of the Oklahoma City Ballet. As a Barre member, you receive specially tailored performance packages and invitations to exclusive Barre events, from behind-the-scenes rehearsal viewings to unique networking receptions and parties with our dancers and artists.
The Barre membership is $40 per person or $60 per couple for each performance and includes a cocktail hour and tickets to the Saturday night show. Current season subscribers, ages 20-40 not yet members of The Barre can join for the low price of $40 for the entire season.
A stimulating combination of dance, education, and revelry, these occasions present young professionals with the opportunity to go behind the scenes all while supporting the Oklahoma City Ballet.
